"A complete manual on how to waste your student loans on a four-year self-indulgent journey to nowhere." This sentence sums up the idea of "Party Thru College," written by Dennis Bruce, author and comedian.

"Party Thru College" is a humorous book that sheds a new light on college life, offering comical advice in order to help even the truly dedicated and devoted student learn to make the most out of their four, or more, years at college.

Bruce separated his book into sections to make it easier to explain the "Screw up Approach" to college students.

Section one begins explaining the "Screw up Approach" by differentiating it from the "Academic Approach." He stresses to his readers, "Screwing up is NOT the same thing as flunking out." The idea is not to flunk out of college, but to remain in it as long as possible - striving to achieve only the bare minimum in order to stay enrolled.

Other sections in the book include "Career opportunities for screw ups," listing career options such as flipping burgers at Burger Hut as well as working the microphone at the Burger Hut drive-through, all depending on what your major was while screwing up in college.

Bruce's comical advice gets you started and on the right track to "screwing up," providing readers with the "Basic Plan" on what classes to take, how to deal with the faculty, as well as "making the grade." He gives readers the motivation to screw up and tells them to "Just say no!" … to studying.

Bruce encourages readers to take the first step and admit that they CAN screw up. He stresses the importance of keeping your GPA just right… at a 2.0.

The book continues with "campus life" and helps readers choose where to live while screwing up at college. He explains the difference between living in a dorm, a fraternity or sorority, as well as a house or an apartment. He comically explains the difficulty in finding a suitable roommate who should also be taking the screw-up approach to college.

In the final sections of the book, Bruce provides advice on where the best place to party is as well as helpful tips. He entertainingly explains that after drinking, beer goggles cause girls to look much better than they did before the alcohol. And of course, along with parties comes meeting girls. Bruce goes on to explain the art of vomiting, as well as dressing the part of a "screw up" at a party.

The comical book shows a different approach to college life, proving to be a good read to college students as well as graduates. The book provides a good laugh to readers who may be stressing about the true blunders of their life at college. His book is an "official" party animal's guide to college, putting a laughable spin to the stresses of college students.

Dennis Bruce has asked to give a donation to the American Cancer Society from the sales of his book.
