"There's nothing wrong with change, as long as it's in the right direction," -Winston Churchill.
I'm a quote person; I have always been that way. But I truly do believe this quotation. We all fear change, in some way or another. But most of the time I think we just don't understand it.
This seems to be the case for TEC so far this semester, since several additions have been printed and gotten a negative response.
After taking over the position of editor-in-chief over the summer, my staff and I decided to give TEC the makeover we felt it deserved, inside and out. And after reading through stacks of newspaper, we redesigned TEC.
Whether you have hated, loved or been indifferent to the changes in TEC this year, you have at least noticed them…I hope. One thing we have all tried to keep in mind is that this is not only our paper; it is meant to represent, entertain and inform all of Pirate Nation. TEC is about ECU first and foremost.
I honestly hope you have enjoyed TEC so far this semester. We have done our best to give you a variety of different topics to enjoy while you read. My staff and I are here to represent you.
In order to do that, we need to know what you are worried about, what you think we missed or even better…what you think we did well! Whether it is through a Pirate Rant, Scribble to the Captain or just a quick email we want to hear from you.
