Chico's, a popular restaurant in the uptown area.

A non-student was stabbed on Saturday, Oct. 5 at about 2:25 a.m. near Chico’s Mexican Restaurant in Uptown Greenville.

The victim of the stabbing was transported to the hospital, the severity of the injuries are unknown.

The suspect was last seen fleeing the incident headed south on Cotanche Street on foot.

The suspect was described as a bald black male with a beard, mid-30’s and about 5 feet 9 inches tall. He was last seen wearing gray pants and a black T-shirt.

There is no threat to ECU’s campus at this time. The East Carolina Police Department (ECU PD) are assisting the Greenville Police Department with the investigation.
