Stumpy’s Hatchet House, an axe throwing venue, will lower age requirement from 21 to 18 and over. The age requirement change will begin during the first two weeks of September after paperwork is finalized.

Underage participants will be identified by a colored wristband issued by an updated system used by the venue.

Assistant manager, Brighten Abraham, said the age requirement was lowered so that East Carolina University students can feel more inclusive in the activities they have to offer.

“Starting around the beginning of September we will be lowering the age from 21 to 18 allowing the campus of ECU to be more inclusive with our activities,” Abraham said.

After the age requirement switch, Stumpy’s plans to announce college night specials and will post them on their social media page, according to Abramham.

“We will be on our social media announcing college nights, most likely once a week that will provide a discount and possibly a bigger college night that will allow an even more discounted price,” Abraham said.

More information on the age requirement release date can be found on Stumpy’s Hatchet House Facebook page and website.
