Weight loss systems promise results

Abstract:
Most everyone has been in the predicament: If only I could lose a couple of pounds, I would fit in this or that. No matter the situation, at one point in time, we have all wanted to get our bodies into that pair of skinny jeans.

However, with all of the fad diets and trends, it's almost impossible to determine which one is the right for you....

weight loss scams

posted 11/08/08 @ 12:16 AM EST

One thing to definitely watch out for is that there are a large numbers of fad diets and weight loss products being advertised on the Internet that are a total scam (e.g. green tea, diet pills, acai berry, etc. etc.).

I would uh... try exercise first. This is a no brainer.

I think it would be to our reader's benefit, to explain what they should do instead of following any crazy fad diets. Any person, I don't care who are are or what you do, can lose weight by doing only 1 thing; Eat less calories than you burn off in exercise + BMR. It is tried and true. It's is guaranteed. But I think that people are always looking for a magic bullet to "cure" their fatness. It's impossible, and sometimes dangerous (like Atkins). My advice to anyone concerned about their weight is to write down the calorie counts of everything you eat for a week. Also, calculate you Basal Metabolic Rate and amount of calories you burn in a week doing exercise. This is all the information you need to start this plan. And it will work. Cut daily intake by 500 cals/day to loose 1 lb a week. It's that easy.

You know for a dead fat guy Dr. Atkins plan still gets around >.> you do know he was 253 lbs even at 6 ft that's obese. i just noticed you left that little tidbit out... doesn't seem like his own plan got him anywhere.
