Better than 'Rate my Professor'

Abstract:
Most college students at ECU and around the country are familiar with ratemyprofessor.com. Students can go on the site, click on the class they are taking (or are going to take) and see how other people rate a certain professor. Some ratings may be good, some may be bad and some might be so-so, but they are all just that…ratings....

rate my professor

Its certainly a good site. I think it helps students and teachers both figure out their mistakes or learn from other peoples mistakes.

they hardly have any schools listed. It doesn't do me much good since they don't even recognize that my school exists

Pickaprof is the worst professor site ever! They only have 12 schools listed for the state of Georgia! There are definitely more than 12 colleges in GA. The site lacks a variety of colleges, so therefore how can it possibly be better than rate a prof? Even though rate a prof doesn't really have many professors listed for my school, which is a private institute, at least my school is recognized and there are a few professors listed. Pickaprof is nowhere near as helpful as rateaprof. Whoever wrote this article didn't do their research. I agree with "Give Dark" I prefer a site that recognizes my school's existence.

I don't know if you realize this but this is the school newspaper for EAST CAROLINA UNIVERSITY. So apparently if you go to a private institute in GA, you probably aren't the target audience for this paper. I would have to say the student body of ECU would be. Which probably means that the writer did do their research pertaining to ECU and not yourself. Think about what you are saying next time to bash someone about their article. Oh and obviously your school does not have a newspaper or it sucks which is why you are reading ours.

I disagree that pickaprof is better than ratemyprofessor.com. My university student body government widely promoted this site a few years ago. Since then, most departments have refused to release grade information, so the statistics are non-existent. In addition, few students are willing to make reports because they know that the site is censured by the university and that professors regularly check it. If they tell the truth, they are likely to be punished by the professor or department in future classes.

Fortunately, I already have a college degree, I graduated from a competitive program with Honors, and I am now a non-degree seeking student, so I can say whatever I want to my professors' faces. :)

If you can't even type one sentence with proper grammar, you can't really judge whether this article has mistakes...

I have found Koofers.com to be much better than PickAProf and Rate my professors. They offer much more.
