Tuesday night, the ECU Board of Trustees unanimously approved the ECU budget policy framework. Chancellor Steve Ballard sent an e-mail to faculty Tuesday evening, announcing the board's decision. ECU's Army ROTC Pirate Battalion is looking to bring home a win next month in the annual Sandhurst Competition. Held April 17 and 18 at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, the Sandhurst Competition will feature 52 teams from the United States and abroad.

Six thousand students -- 3,000 freshman and 3,000 seniors -- will have the opportunity to take the National Survey of Student Engagement, NSSE this semester. The participants were chosen at random, although most represent the majority of each class. The main goal of the survey is to assess the student experience at ECU and to make possible improvements where necessary.
