Comedy Central Indecision 2008 sparks ECU controversy

Greg Giraldo made a bad decision and the ECU community is not happy about it. The comedian, who has appeared on Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn, Last Call with Carson Daly, Late Show with David Letterman and Late Night with Conan O'Brien ventured to ECU for the Comedy Central Indecision 2008 tour on Aug.

    The halt of the Mendenhall renovations may have affected organizations and offices but the Ledonia Wright Cultural Center took it all in stride and kept on moving. Rod Bradley, director of the center, believes it is a blessing in disguise. "We can now look forward to our own building in the near future," said Bradley.

  • Faculty members offer a taste of Russia

    Russia doesn't make a personal connection to many, which is why two faculty members at ECU decided to create a photo exhibit of the country, called "Russia - Ancient and Modern," at Joyner Library. Yelena Francis, a Russian language instructor, and Mark Sanders, head of reference at Joyner, wanted to share the culture of Russia with others.

  • The Good, the bad and the ugly

    College The Bad The movie focuses on three friends who visit college for a weekend in hopes of getting hammered-drunk and having lots of sex. Oh, and one of them has an interview for a scholarship, just to add some depth. This movie is packed full of up and coming actors, including Drake Bell, Andrew Caldwell and a cameo by Vern Troyer of Mini Me Fame.
