Shortly after Republican presidential candidate John McCain named Sarah Palin as his running mate, Palin publicly announced that her 17-year-old daughter is five months pregnant. Palin's reputation is also suffering due to a DUI issued to her husband approximately 20 years ago.
There were too many freshmen downtown last weekend. It's funny how students who insult freshmen, seem to forget that they were once freshmen themselves too, and not too long ago. Not eating has been so much easier than I thought it would be. With this new opinion editor, all there's going to be are feminist rants and man-bashing.
I received a text the other day in which someone asked if I was still friends with a known associate of ours. I replied that it depended on their definition of the word "friends." All friendships one may experience in their life time fall into the categories of friends by choice and friends by necessity.
Since my junior year of high school, I have gone through six different jobs at six different locations. Being an opinion writer is currently the sixth. The writing jobs I have are the most rewarding. The pay has not in any way been sustainable, but the identity as a writer, a fond dream of mine, pays the bills for career-building morale.
I'm sure everyone has heard about the attack that occurred last week in Fletcher Hall. For the few of you that have not, a male non-student assaulted a female student in the lobby of her dormitory. How did this non-student gain access into the dorm? By an action that any of us who have ever lived in a residence hall are guilty of: tailgating.
